Galleon Marine Boatyard has been on the same site since 1988. It started life as Benford’s Boats then Wendy’s Pleasure Boats and for the past few decades it has been known as Galleon Marine. A number of owners have been in place and in 2014 it was our turn to take the tiller. We are a husband & wife team and together, we look after a fleet of holiday narrowboats, a day hire narrowboat and around 30 unpowered boats; rowboats, canoes & kayaks. In 2019 we achieved ‘Accredited Boatyard’ status through British Marine and our boats were then assessed by Visit England to 4 stars. In 2019 we installed a vintage coffee bar which is a converted 1960 Rice Horsebox. From here we serve coffee, teas, cold drinks and snacks. Our picnic area has been improved so you can enjoy either our food and drinks or your own. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the boatyard and watch the boats. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
