If you have your own kayak, canoe, rowboat or paddleboard, you will need a licence to use the UK waterways. These are links to find out more

• PaddleUK – Adult licences with public liability insurance from £60 per year to use 4500km of waterways in the UK
• Basingstoke Canal Authority – £48.50 per year for a paddleboard only used on the Basingstoke Canal
